The Arbor Day holiday was adopted by lots of countries and states worldwide starting several hundred years ago to create enthusiasm and celebrate the value of trees for health, hygiene, decoration, nature, environment and customs, to recognize the aesthetic and physical and economic value of trees, and to refoliate barren areas; in fine-to persuade everyone to plant more trees.
WHY Should We OBSERVE ARBOR DAY?
For community-minded concerns, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources demonstrates that the celebration of Arbor Day gives us a way to learn about trees and take positive action to make the world a better place.
